Having fun with washi tape projects!

Hi guys! It’s finally Friday but sadly, it’s still pretty cold out. What could be better than staying in this weekend, chugging some hot chocolate (with extra marshmallows, of course) and getting crafty? Here’s a project idea that’s super fun and easy.  Just grab some of your greatest photographs to add your own special touch to them.

What you’ll need:
Three (or more) colors of washi tape
A ruler
Scissors
Your favorite photos

You might be asking yourself: now, what is this washi tape you speak of? Washi tape is a decorative masking tape made out of acid-free paper. It’s a great way to add a dash of color without being a permanent addition to your walls or damaging your scrapbook.  There are many different ways to decorate using washi tape. Here are a few examples of how to use washi tape:

You could keep it simple and add some pops of colors to a few pictures.

Buy a basic, fun-shaped (and possibly cheap) picture frame and make it your own with your favorite washi tape.

Want to make something that’s pretty fast but looks like you spend mucho time on it? Take your favorite landscape photo, turn it into a Canvas Print

(which only takes about an hour and you can pick up at Walgreens in the same day, by the way) and create a contrasting border with three colors of washi tape. The tape will simulate a three-dimensional window frame!
